Using family films, propaganda films, and audio interviews, the story is told of filmmaker Jan Teunissen (1898-1975), leader of the NSB Filmdienst during World War II. It is a story about a wounded ego, opportunism, and manipulation, timeless themes that resonate in the present day.
The Propagandist can be seen at our cinema from March 27. The screening on April 10 will be followed by a discussion with film researcher Egbert Barten, who contributed to the documentary with his research.
