Let's Peace Walk!

Join us in May to celebrate the 12th annual commemoration of the Universal Declaration of Peace with a special event in The Hague (May 17) and Antwerp (May 24)! Under the theme “Harmony Walk, Toward Global Peace,” young people from all walks of life will come together to spread the message of peace and unity.

We will start with a peace letter from the chairman of HWPL, followed by the Paint For Peace project, where creative expression and global action come together. Afterwards, we will take a symbolic 25-minute peace walk to show our collective commitment to a more peaceful world.

Since 2013, HWPL has been working with young people, civil society, and international partners to promote the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW). From art campaigns and clean-up initiatives to webinars and education, we believe that true peace begins with ourselves—with small steps that lead to big changes.

The Hague, known for peace and justice, and Antwerp, a vibrant center of culture and diversity, are the perfect backdrop for this meaningful day. So gather your friends, come full of energy, and be part of something bigger—peace starts with you.
