Frantz

We're going to watch Frantz: a film about loss, love, and unexpected connections.

Frantz (2019) is a French-German film directed by François Ozon. The story follows Adrien, a French soldier who feels guilty and travels to Germany to meet the family of a man he killed. What begins as a story about grief grows into something much deeper, about memories, forgiveness, and the process of healing. With impressive imagery and storytelling, Frantz received 11 César nominations and won an award at the Venice Film Festival.

Whether you love history, well-told drama, or are just looking for a film that will make you think, this is one you won't want to miss. Be sure to stick around after the film for the discussion.

The language of this event is English. As always, admission is free for students and staff! No registration is required.

This event is organized in collaboration with European Studies.
