Why a Just Peace Festival?

We believe that peace is not only determined at negotiating tables, but is shaped by society. The festival is thé place where residents of The Hague connect, discover new ideas and take action for peace and justice.

Join the conversation on the festival's six themes: peace, democracy, inclusion, climate, international rule of law and (cyber)security. We call on the entire city to explore alternative pathways to a better and fairer world!

The festival is a platform where dialogue, art and activism come together to explore alternative pathways to peace.

Let yourself be carried away by documentaries during Just Peace Movie Nights on climate, queer rights and corruption by Flora Filmtheater and Library The Hague, among others.

Immerse yourself in the Exhibition 'Humanity in Times of Tension' co-curated by Human Rights in the Picture and NGO DEI in Amare. Stimulate your brain at Just Peace Dialogues organised by Leiden University.

If you want to get your body moving, Korzo Theater will make you dance and De Haagse Fietszwerm and Holland Park Media take you on a bike parade through the city!

The Just Peace Festival is the highlight of the Road to Summit and a collective initiative, founded by The Hague Humanity Hub, Leiden University and Municipality of The Hague. Together with numerous partners, we create a festival full of creativity and inspiration FOR YOU.
