Naaz
Naaz is an independent Kurdish producer, singer, songwriter and director from the Netherlands. She grew up in a refugee family and found an outlet in writing music at an early age-many of her lyrics she even had tattooed on her body as a symbol of freedom.
Self-taught, she taught herself to write, compose and produce, eventually leading to her debut project, Bits of Naaz, which she created entirely from her teenage bedroom.
With her unique blend of English and Kurdish influences, she toured Europe four times and received recognition from music icons such as Elton John and Lana Del Rey.
Naaz is currently working on her first novel, for which she signed a book deal, and will soon release two new EPs that highlight her versatility as an artist.
Known for her candor, she speaks with grace on topics such as autism, growing up in the diaspora, women of color in the music world, and the art of self-producing her work.
