Children’s Book Reading Session: Seven Gates

The tropical rainforests — the green lungs of our Earth — have been severely impacted by human activity over the centuries. Violence and ecological scars, ravaged by war, along with leached soil and water sources due to industrial agricultural practices and mass deforestation, have left lasting damage.

Drawing inspiration from the rich biodiversity of the Leuser ecosystem in the Malay Archipelago, The Seven Gates introduces some of the magical characters found in the tropical rainforest. We follow their tales through lush landscapes and join them in their forest encounters. This session invites us to engage in acts of peace — for all humankind and our fellow living beings — as we treasure and share the home we’ve been given.
