Musicon was born in the 1990s out of the demand for practice rooms, pop music lessons and a pop venue. The founders are two friends: Cesar Zuiderwijk, drummer of Golden Earring, and Alejandro Milberg, Argentine documentary filmmaker and dissident who came to the Netherlands as a refugee. Musicon has since won its own place in The Hague's cultural field. Starting as an ‘empty cup’ filled by different music cultures from the city, today we are a socially driven enterprise, with diversity in our genes and a great love for the stage.

Musicon is The Hague's inclusive all-round pop music center: With us you will find practice rooms, a music school, workshop & course rooms, party rooms and a cozy music cafe. Musicon is The Hague's sacred music ground, with over 400 bands on stage each year and more than 15,000 concertgoers. We actively contribute to the cultural education and talent development of our city with award-winning programs for young & old. The (pursuit of) musicianship is a common thread through all programs, from education to festival. Musicon is the place where young talent, debuting top talent and icons come together.
